Accompanying this is the Now Bar, which brings timely information onto the lock screen, and Now Brief, which bundles individualized daily reports from traffic flow to exercise totals into one glance. Security engineering is an orthogonal focus. Knox Enhanced Encrypted Protection (KEEP), added in this release, creates app-specific storage spaces in the secure enclave, isolating sensitive data from each other. This is supported by the Personal Data Engine, which stores user preferences in its entirety on device, safeguarded by Knox Vault. These are necessary steps because AI personalization must manage more granular personal data.
Photography and computer vision are where the Galaxy S25 FE’s AI aspirations come most directly into focus. The IP68 water and dust resistance rating ensures resilience in challenging environments, though Samsung cautions that resistance may diminish over time.
Available in Icyblue, Jetblack, Navy, and White, the Galaxy S25 FE ships with seven years of OS and security updates, extending its relevance well beyond typical upgrade cycles. Buyers also receive six months of the Google AI Pro plan, unlocking expanded capabilities in Gemini, Flow, and NotebookLM.
