Galaxy Tab S11’s AI Leap: What Samsung’s Next Tablets Reveal About the Future

Beyond smartphones, “we are accelerating our ecosystem strategy in the second half of the year with a range of new products designed to maximize Galaxy’s competitive edge, including the next-generation form factor. First, we are set to release the Galaxy Tab S11 series, powered by enhanced AI capabilities and new mid-tier and entry-level models will complete our portfolio.” These are the exact words Samsung used to announce on its Q2 2025 earnings call a revolution in its tablet strategy a one marked by artificial intelligence, fresh design, and a wider lineup targeting all segments of the market.

At the heart of the news is the Galaxy Tab S11 series, due to arrive in late summer or early fall, in keeping with Samsung’s customary release pattern. It will be spearheaded by two flagships: the plain Tab S11 and the Tab S11 Ultra, both trying to reinvent Android tablets. According to certification rumors, the Tab S11 Ultra will feature a 14.6-inch OLED display, keeping up with Samsung’s trend of using large, vibrant screens that have become the hallmark of its premium tablets. The Ultra model will come equipped with an 11,374mAh battery a small but notable increase over the last one along with 45W fast charging to minimize downtime between uses. The more standard Tab S11, on the other hand, is said to come equipped with an 8,160mAh battery that promises good longevity for those that demand day-long performanceaccording to previous leaks and rumors. One of the most obvious alterations is the front-facing camera setup.

Photos leaked of the Tab S11 Ultra indicate that Samsung is ditching its previous dual-camera setup, opting instead for a single selfie camera housed in a rounded U-shaped notch. This change not only enhances the device’s design but also hints at a simplified method of video calls and facial recognition, perhaps using the device’s upgraded AI to make up for the ultrawide lens loss. The bezels are still incredibly thin, maintaining the immersive viewing experience that has been characteristic of the Ultra lineBlass’s photo is of a familiar appearing tablet, likely featuring the 14.6-inch AMOLED screen. Another silent makeover is happening at the S Pen, signature element for a vast majority of Samsung tablet users.

The Ultra leaked shots do not have the space for a stylus to charge on the back of this phone, suggesting perhaps a move to a Bluetooth-less S Pen, similar to what has been achieved with the Galaxy S25 Ultra earlier this year. This design choice might herald a return to a more basic, battery-less stylus, which could save users money and hassle but pose the question of the future of sophisticated S Pen functionality that depends on Bluetooth connectivitythe elimination of the dedicated S Pen area. At the core of the Tab S11 series is the inclusion of enhanced Galaxy AI capabilities.

Samsung has remained relentless at putting AI into its ecosystem, as a testament to by ubiquitous Galaxy AI branding of its Fold and Flip 7 phones. While specific features of the Tab S11 are not revealed, excitement builds for advanced on-device intelligence: real-time language translation, improved note-taking, and contextually aware productivity apps are probable candidates. These will be powered by the Dimensity 9400+ SoC, supported by configurations that go up to 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, with the advantage of the flexibility of a microSD card slot for additional capacitythe Galaxy Tab S11 line will have two models, the Galaxy Tab S11 and the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra, powered by the Dimensity 9400+ SoC, up to 16GB RAM + 256GB storage, and a microSD card slot. Samsung’s ecosystem strategy extends beyond hardware. Its stated mission is to “maximize Galaxy’s competitive edge,” and that translates into its attempts to ensure devices are integrated together seamlessly. The Tab S11 series is expected to work seamlessly with other Galaxy devices, leveraging shared AI features, unified cloud features, and cross-device workflows. This is intended to keep users engaged who want a consistent, intelligent experience on phone, tablet, or foldable.

Those who are less willing to spend on a flagship also have their interests addressed by Samsung’s pricing strategy.

The company is gearing up to introduce mid-tier and entry-level tablets in addition to the Tab S11 series, with FE (Fan Edition) and A-series models focused on price-sensitive users and families. This one is a deliberate shot at reaching more people during the all-important holiday period, without sacrificing the essential experience which makes its high-end offerings special. With matched FE and A-series versions to follow, it promises to be a very merry holiday season for anyone considering a new tablet. While how far Samsung intends to go with AI for the Tab S11 series will only be disclosed at launch, the signs are clear: the company is betting on intelligence features, screen superiority, and a hierarchical lineup to cement its leadership in Android tablets. For consumers and enthusiasts everywhere, the coming months promise the future of mobile computing.
