The Ford Mustang GTD’s Soaring Price: An Exclusive Journey from $325,000 to Over $600,000

“The final number started with a six,” podcasted The Smoking Tire’s Matt Farah behind the wheel of the Ford Mustang GTD. That shook up the whole motor car world. The Mustang GTD now would likely cost more than $600,000 and shaved pieces out of the base starting price of the Lamborghini Revuelto at $325,000.

Low-output Mustang GTD has no engineering value and rarity. Fastest factory American car to travel the ‘Ring, it does it in 6:52.072. It ain’t cheap, though. To balance out the extra weight that accompanies the GTD is a byproduct of accessory dimensions to customize it. The “Exclusive Extended Color Palette Lock-Out Option,” for example, will be able to lock into an exclusive color on a vehicle and it’s an armload of money.

Ford’s use of the GTD is faithful to what high-performance marquee does to low-number-of-productions specialty. The GTD is not a car; it’s an ode to excellence. The Carbon Series package, the $103,000 top-of-the-invoice degree cut level trim level, is one of them. The Spirit of America model still gulps $429,000 sticker price. Such low-number-of-production cars places the GTD into connoisseur collector strata but places its jaw-dropping ultimate cost into perspective.

Most helpful, Ford. is GTD due to Canadian precision cutting company Multimatic. The advantage. is that. every. single. GTD is. cut. to. perfection. Otherwise. production. cost actually went up. with. the. such. as. the. precision. cut. and. tariffs. With. the. two. together. Ford. will. be. hard. to. manufacture. world. class. auto. cutting. best. of. the. line. versus. best-of. the. line. US. car. cutting. of. car. performance.

They believe that they can purchase the GTD since it is a replica of what they possess. They are only making 1,000 of them so there are not that many individuals who desire the vehicle and there are plenty more for them to purchase. There were more than 7,500 individuals who wanted to be in a situation where they could purchase the GTD, so the vehicle is clearly a collector’s car. That is, it will be one that will still be worth it because the car itself isn’t highly valuable and there will be ways in the future to maintain the car. Yes, the GTD is pricey money currently, but the image must be placed into perspective as a whole. The sport cars like those will be worth paying back for because they will be low-run and limited vehicles.

The Porsche 911 GT3 RS does come with a certain $241,300 price to go with it, of course, but also due to à la carte menu of optioned goodies that will cause costs to soar off into the stratosphere. To prestige buyer, GTD is car, yes, but booty car to treat. The GTD will be marred in the process as it is manufactured. Ford President Jim Farley continued to repeat the first 10 cars came off the assembly line in March 2025 and were delivered to their owners. The success is part of a string because Ford didn’t even think about manufacturing the GTD. The Ford Mustang GTD is simply a vehicle; it’s an artistic creation and innovation that drive the world of driving forward.

For whichever lucky owner did manage to call one their own, the GTD is a platinum-level, once-in-a-lifetime adrenaline experience to be cruising down the highway in an artistic creation with their life hanging off the rear bumper.

With the entire world in the auto world holding its bated breath for its coming this title this GTD, something some-gonna be a heritage would take no time between lines of American sports cars.
